Management of Multilingualism per Forum
EXCLUSIVELY AVAILABLE HERE!
Are you tired of creating one thread per language for each announcement and information so that every user is actually reached? Disable multilingualism for specific forums with this plugin!
Requirements
- You must have WoltLab Suite™ Core 3.1, 5.2 or 5.3 installed.
- You must have WoltLab Suite™ Forum 5.1, 5.2 or 5.3 installed.
Configuration
You can disable multilingualism in the Settings of the respective forum. By default, multilingualism is enabled in all forums, as long as it is also globally enabled for the WoltLab Suite™ installation. Disabling multilingualism means that no language selection will appear when creating and editing threads, so that no language is assigned to the thread and every user can view and read the thread regardless of the personal content languages set.
For existing forums, it is possible to remove the currently assigned language for threads using the Bulk Processing of Threads.
Use Cases
This plugin is actively used in the forum of Krymo Software. While multilingualism is enabled in the News and Information and Product News and Spotlights forums, it is disabled in the other forums.
Depending on the use case, we recommend using this plugin in combination with our plugin BBCode: Language.

BBCode: Language
The BBCode: Language allows you to create individual content for each installed language. This is especially useful for user-created content such as posts where multilingual content cannot be created.
